It’s been a whirlwind of a week. I want to thank those of you who reached out to me last week. I genuinely love hearing from you.
In somewhat related news, my husband brought this little lady home last weekend. Yes, it’s soon, but she needed a home. He and the kids were missing having a furry friend in the house. Pete would have loved her. Meet Daisy Mae. She is a rescue pup, and we’re in love. She’s helping to heal our broken hearts.
This is how I write now
We’ve all been busy chasing after this bundle all week. Good news is, she’s snuggly. So I plan to get in some puppy snuggles and pick up a book this weekend. Here are your recommendations for the week!
Hi!
I’m Daphne McLean, and I’m a cozy mystery writer living in central NJ. My debut novella, Red Picket Fences is slated to be published in Fall 2018.
Here’s a little more about me:
Likes: Coffee, wine, crochet, French fries, snarky coffee mugs, reading, writing, gardening, chocolate, my chickens, my dogs, my husband, and of course, my children. Depending on the day, the order of those things changes.
Dislikes: Scratchy sweaters, white chocolate, getting up early, hot avocado, bugs, and not having enough time to read.
I’m fascinated by true crime but love the light-hearted nature of the cozy mystery genre. I love the ocean, and plan to create a series by the beach in the near future!
Please feel free to drop me a line. I would love to hear more about all of you!

She’s a Rottweiler/Bulldog mix. She’s 10 weeks and 5 pounds. The rescue didn’t know much.
