I’m wrapping up a very busy month! I’ve started my next series, published book four in my current series, as well as released a collection of books 1-3! I’m took the time this weekend to enjoy time with my little family, catch up on some house projects, and read. I hope all of you are doing what makes you happy this weekend.
I’m also excited to announce that I’ve been featured on not one, but THREE sites this month! (I’m feeling kinda famous LOL)
I hope all is well with you. I’ve been busy in the garden, and things are coming along quite nicely. The baby chicks are adjusting to their new coop quite nicely. Little miss Daisy Mae has reached her rebellious stage, and has needed a little extra time and attention.
I’ve also gotten back into cooking which I haven’t really done in awhile… I mean, I’ve cooked but it’s mainly just been simple meals. I haven’t made anything complex and involved for quite some time. 1. My kids are picky, and 2. My husband and I have been on restrictive diets so there wasn’t much wiggle room. However, there’s just something about the nice weather, and the ability to eat out on our porch that makes me crave a big bowl of linguini and clams. My 5 & 8 year old LOVED it, and my hubby had two bowls. What are your spring/summer must have dishes?
I’ve taken a breather from writing a bit to regroup for the new series. Mark your calendars, for those who have not yet read the books in my series, the collection goes on sale tomorrow morning (5/13) at 8AM EST!!!
I know that I typically post on the weekends but this couldn’t wait.
First off, thank you to everyone who read and reviewed Death at Rugosa Bay! Those reviews made my heart soar.
Secondly, I have an exciting giveaway opportunity for you! I recently started a reader’s group on facebook, join and comment for a chance to win a signed copy of Come Homicide or High Water by New York Times bestselling author Denise Swanson!

I’m delighted to report that Death at Rugosa Bay is all uploaded to Amazon and ready to release in ONE WEEK! I sent the files out to my ARC team, and I’m anxiously awaiting feedback!
In other news… my plan is to get another Pembury Acres book out this year. I’m also mulling over a few ideas for a new series.
I was thinking a story about a dog treat baker and it will feature a little pup named Daisy Mae. Thoughts? I love when people write me back because it’s as if I’m to people vs. at people. So please write me back with your thoughts. I also have one that was inspired by Resident Alien on SYFY, but I’m not sure how well that would go over. Have any of you watched that?
Another exciting tidbit… I will be taking over a Cozy Mystery Launch FB group next week. I’ll be talking about my books, Pembury acres, and I will be giving away PRIZES! This should be a lot of fun!
Click HERE for the event page. I’m super excited for this event, and I love the group!
If you haven’t caught up on the series yet, I’ve made the first three available at a discount ($4 for the set vs $7 if you bought each book individually)
That’s all for this week. I hope all of you have a fantastic weekend!
Below are your Cozy Mystery recommendations for the week!
Spring is in full bloom where I live! All of the color and new life surrounding me has given me such a boost!
Little Miss Daisy Mae is still pretty much the center of our universe at the moment. The baby chicks we hatched took over for a bit, but she’s still top dog. My 8-year-old taught her “speak” this week. She also learned how to escape the fenced in yard. Luckily, (for now) she just runs to the basement and howls for my husband to let her in. She’s got the cutest little howl! We’re reinforcing the fence this weekend.
In other (BIG) news, I typed ‘THE END’ on Death at Rugosa Bay, and it’s off to my editor! I cut this one close, so I will be sending ARC copies around the time it’s published. My ARC team is full for the moment. However, if you’d like to help me out, word of mouth goes a long way! I’d love for you all to become my little scream team.

Another exciting development is that I’ve compiled books 1-3 into a “boxed set“!! If you haven’t read all of my books yet, now is the time to catch up!
I’m super excited to get back to reading while I wait for my edits! Here are some recommendations that I have from my very own TBR list!
I am sending Death at Rugosa Bay off to the editor this week! I’m thrilled with how it’s turning out. I was hesitant at first to take Jennifer out of Pembury acres, but this new cast of characters is pretty stellar. Don’t worry, I still include some old favorites as well!
If you celebrate, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. For those of you who do not, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! The weather was beautiful. We had a quiet Easter, just the 27 of us! (My family of 4, Daisy Mae, and 22 new baby chicks!)
My husband and I kicked back on our lawn chairs and watched our little guys ride bikes, draw with sidewalk chalk, and blow bubbles. It was a peaceful and restful day.
Have you guys been enjoying the book recommendations I’ve been sending you? Please let me know if you enjoyed one in particular so I can let the author know.
Here are your books to read this week! I hope you enjoy them.
Thanks to those who responded last week, especially to those who sent links to the books they are reading. I added a few of them to my Kindle. I would love to hear from more of you. Please don’t be shy. Drop me a line.
This week, I took a little journey to the year 2000 for Death at Rugosa Bay. I have a few flashback scenes in this book, and it was fun to explore the past a little. I’ve also decided to bring back a character from book one that everyone enjoyed!
Little Daisy Mae is growing like a weed! She’s learned to lie down, and give paw this week. My husband snapped this adorable picture of her. I couldn’t resist sharing it.
I’m going to hunker down this weekend and hopfully put the finishing touches on book 4. If you need plans for this weekend, I have some reccomendations for you! Some of you expressed that you aren’t fond of the paranormal cozy mysteries. I’ll still include them for those of you who enjoy them, but I’ll be sure to give you all a good mix.
