Cover Reveal…

Hi All,

It’s been a while. The end of the school year is no joke when you’re a mom of two school-aged children. I was lost in a sea of little league playoffs, moving up ceremonies,  and end of year celebrations. My oldest has now only been out of school a week, and that week was a complete blur.

We had a lovely 4th of July celebration at my house on Thursday.  Our whole neighborhood came out to celebrate, and we ended the evening with a fantastic fireworks display at our local ballfield. I will say it’s only the beginning of July, and I’ve had my fill of hamburgers, hotdogs, and macaroni salad!

I’ve picked up three books by Mary Kay Andrews and I’m sneaking in reading time when I can. Her books make for some wonderful summer reading!!!

Other than that, I’ve been slowly plugging away at my own books. Going forward, I’m not going to be giving out any timelines until I’m absolutely sure that I have a solid date. Life and the creative process are often times unpredictable. Rest assured though, I’m writing and progress is being made.

What recently ignited the fire for some very productive writing sessions was my cover designer sent me the proof for book two! I’m in love! Please let me know what you think!

I present to you…

The Next Chapter…

Hi All, and Happy Friday!

The weather here is FINALLY feeling a bit more like spring. Walking through the stores now, it’s all stuffed with summer fun, (oh hey Target). You can’t escape it. So, I’m packing my books up and heading for a girls weekend near the beach tonight. I’m so very excited. I LOVE being near the water, and I desperately need this time to recharge.

Have you ever felt depleted? Lost? Completely empty? That’s been me over the last few weeks. I’m hoping this trip will be just the thing I need to get my writing career and my overall health back in check!

I’m sitting here at a book store, sipping on coffee, and typing away. I’m basically living the dream right now. Getting up and out of the house, this morning was extremely helpful. The simple act of sitting among people, and not even interacting with them is giving me what I need to get through to the next chapter.

Getting through to the next chapter is exactly what I need right now in order to get my FREE Book, Body in the Begonias out soon. Book Two: Death at a Dinner Party, and Book Three: Body on Rugosa Bay. Book three needs to be out before the end of summer, so wish me luck!!!

As always though, I’ll happily keep you supplied with endless reads from my fellow Indie Authors to tide you over! Have a great weekend, and be on the lookout for beach pictures on my Instagram!

Lentil Death Do Us Part is the fourth book in the suspenseful Death du Jour series, where the special of the day is always murder…

Chef Bethany Bradstreet has finally opened the Railway Café, the restaurant of her dreams in Newbridge’s quaint historic train station. She gets to do what she loves every day—cook amazing food with her best friend.

Bethany’s smooth sailing hits a snag when bad weather threatens to sink her friend’s wedding. The venue is flooded, and the ceremony is only two weeks away! To bail out the beleaguered bride, Bethany rushes to find a uniquely beautiful spot for her friend to tie the knot.

But all bets are off when Bethany finds mummified remains at the new wedding locale. Crime scene tape definitely won’t fit in with the planned décor.

To cook up a solution—to the wedding woes and the murder—Bethany must rely on the two men vying for her heart. Can anyone say awkward?

And she’ll have to work fast…before death parts them all.

Until Next Time!

Stay Cozy,

Daphne
